We met Daniela, the founder of Daylice , located in the heart of Fossano, a small town in Piedmont known for its history and welcoming atmosphere. Here, amidst the beauty of the historic center and a vibrant community, Daylice has brought a breath of fresh air with a unique project featuring sweet treats to go. Daylice is an example of how hard work and a touch of originality can transform an idea into a successful business, inspiring baristas, restaurateurs, and anyone looking to open a new establishment.

The Story of Daylice

Daylice, our takeaway sweet treat, opened in November 2023 in Fossano. The shop stands out for its unique offerings in the province of Cuneo: take-out desserts, gelato, crepes, crazy shakes, and milkshakes that offer an innovative sensory experience. We are three enthusiastic people, ensuring full shift coverage to be open every day and offer our customers uninterrupted sweet treats and smiles.

The idea for Daylice was born as an evolution of our other businesses: we also run two businesses, one dedicated to candy production and the other specializing in dried fruit and mushrooms. Hence our intention to use primarily dried fruit in the various products offered at the shop, making Daylice not just an ice cream and crepe shop, but a rich and complete taste experience. Our future plan? To transform Daylice into a franchise!

If we had to describe Daylice in three words, we'd definitely call it innovative , dynamic, and original . There's nothing like it in the entire province of Cuneo, and this makes us proud of our work and drives us to continue experimenting.

Collaboration with Techfood

We discovered Techfood online while searching for equipment to offer our customers something different. We found what we were looking for with the Bubble Stick maker, a practical and visually stunning product that allows you to create sweet treats on a stick, much like a delicious skewer decorated in a variety of ways.

Among the Techfood and Pausa products we use are Bubble Tea , Bubble Stick , and Space Bun . What we appreciate most about these products is their originality and superior quality compared to the competition.

Bubble Tea , in particular, is beloved by our customers, especially young people, thanks to its intense flavors and generous syrup content. Our Bubble Tea Pausa, developed in collaboration with Italian Food, stands out for its artisanal quality and attention to ingredients. We are proud to offer a version of Bubble Tea that not only satisfies our customers' tastes, but does so with an added touch of authenticity.

Regarding Bubble Stick , the journey to fully embrace it took some time. Initially, the price might have seemed like a barrier, but thanks to small changes, like lowering the price and offering a small gift with it, we've managed to make it more accessible and popular among our customers. Bubble Stick is convenient and fun to eat thanks to its stick-like presentation, and we're happy to be able to decorate it in so many different ways, making it a true feast for the eyes as well as the palate.

Space Bun's Innovation

Space Bun is a truly amazing Techfood product. It's a versatile bun, available in both sweet and savory versions. The sweet version has received good feedback, thanks to its ability to complement Daylice's other sweet on-the-go products perfectly, and is highly appreciated by those who try it. The savory version, although very tasty and well-balanced, has struggled to find a foothold among our customers. We believe this is due to Daylice's customer base's preference for sweet options.

However, we believe the savory Space Bun deserves greater visibility: those who have tried it have been enthusiastic, appreciating its quality and flavor. To encourage people to discover this new product, we've decided to launch a special menu for younger consumers in October, which will include a Space Bun, Bubble Tea, a can, and chips for just €9. Our goal is to demonstrate that even with a seemingly simple product like a sandwich, you can create innovative and unique flavor experiences.
