Sigep is the most important national event and for the horeca sector with an echo also at a European level. For Techfood it is an unmissable appointment, and this year we are particularly excited because we will be presenting the new collaboration with Chef Simone Rugiati .


The International Exhibition of Artisanal Pastry and Gelato has always been a great opportunity to discover the latest news and forge new partnerships and supplies. As in the case of the managers of the Gelateria Vullo in Agrigento, which we conquered with our Bubble Waffle plate during one of the past editions of the Rimini Fair.
Here's what Lara told us.


How did you discover Techfood's Bubble Waffle?


I learned about Bubble Waffle thanks to my husband, who visited the Techfood stand at the 2019 edition of Sigep.


What led you to choose Techfood?


It all started with the Bubble Waffle plate, a real love at first sight. Here in Agrigento we are in the seaside area of ​​San Leone and it is a perfect product to surprise our summer customers.


What are the features that most convinced you to buy?


We were certainly convinced by the fact that it represented a novelty and also its very particular appearance influenced the decision. We love making shots of our preparations and Bubble Waffle lends itself very well!


Do the expectations correspond to the actual qualities of the machine?


Absolutely yes, the machine is very simple to use and hasn't given us any problems. And your preparation gives us an excellent final product .


How did your customers react to the new offer with Bubble Waffle?


Once the purchase was finalized, we waited for the summer to offer Bubble Waffles. It was a success, something new that hadn't arrived here yet. We serve it with ice cream, creams, yoghurt, grains... whatever customers want. We tried some amazing combinations!
We also offer crêpes , waffles and pancakes; with Bubble Waffle we have enriched our offer of ice cream and croissants in an unusual way.



Let's talk about innovation, how important is it for a restaurant to update the offer?


A lot, if you are not in step with the times, customers go elsewhere . We really like to experiment with new products and with Techfood we have found the right supplier. We are always looking for innovative solutions and we also inform ourselves with articles online and on social networks. And then precisely with the sector fairs.
