Create your own recipe and become a social ambassador for the most space-age sandwich in the world
The competition is open: you have until this Sunday, December 15, to submit your application for the second edition of the Space Bun Fight. The six best recipes will be selected to compete at Sigep 2025 in front of a jury with very demanding taste buds. A challenge to the last bite by Techfood in partnership with Barilla Foodservice, Harry's and Menù.
A sandwich from another world
Space Bun allows you to create tasty and creative combinations in less than a minute. Just choose the base and place the filling (sweet or savory, there is no limit to the imagination), the plate will close everything giving the final product the cute shape of a roller coaster.
The Space Bun brand is registered and the equipment is patented. Furthermore, from this year onwards, a new accessory is available that allows you to work on bakery products with even a smaller diameter: an example above all, the traditional Sicilian brioche.
Space Bun Fight 2025
After the great success of the first edition at Sigep 2024, the competition is reopened for those who will prepare the tastiest sandwich. Applying is very simple: just access the dedicated page , fill out the form with your data and give space to creativity in composing the recipe.
Each candidate will start from the first step, that is, choosing the bread base (only one type can be selected). Then it will be time to choose the main ingredient, the protein protagonist of the sandwich: maximum two options (vegetable proteins are also available). The last step, the garnish : one to four secondary ingredients among cheeses, sauces, dressings, vegetables, fruit or legumes.
There is time until December 15th: the Horeca professionals who create the most original and captivating recipes will compete at the next Sigep in Rimini.
