We're in Partinico, in the province of Palermo, at a special yogurt shop that has won over everyone, from adults to children: it's Yo&Go. "I gave it 5 stars because it was the best, otherwise I'd give it 15 stars." "The staff were incredibly kind and excellent. If I could, I'd give more than 5 stars." These are just some of the reviews you can find online when searching for the yogurt shop that recently opened in Partinico. To learn more about this place, we spoke with Lorellie and Fabio, the owners of Yo&Go.

How long have you been open at Yo & Go?

We opened Yo & Go almost a year ago, on July 12, 2024.

Why did you decide to open this business?

Well, I've always loved sweets, that's the first reason, but there's also another issue. I've always lived in big cities, so when I moved to Partinico I noticed... There were no places where young people could meet and spend time together. So my husband and I decided to open a yogurt shop.

How would you describe your customers?

There are many young people, but adults, seniors, and families with one-year-olds also come… after all, everyone likes sweets!

What have been the challenges and rewards this year since opening?

The greatest satisfaction is seeing happy customers because we care deeply about the quality of the food we serve. We're committed to ensuring the milk is fresh and that all areas are clean. We work with food, so quality and cleanliness are essential, and making sure everything is perfect requires a lot of dedication. It's not easy, but it's necessary. It's a job you have to enjoy; that's the secret.

What products do you serve?

We serve a wide variety of products: crepes, yogurt, ice cream, pancakes, bubble waffles, milkshakes, donuts... there's something for everyone. We recently introduced Kubo and are experimenting with various recipes.

What are the most popular products?

Mainly crêpes and churros: we offer tons of topping options and come up with creative combinations because we really love what we do.

What Techfood products do you use?

We use bubble waffle makers, the El Churrito waffle maker, and the crepe maker. We're very satisfied with the products we sell thanks to these machines.

Do you have any advice for those working in this field?

This job is demanding, so you need passion. If you're not willing to make some sacrifices to ensure the best for your customers, you're better off looking for something else.

What are your plans for the future?

We're starting another business, a piadina shop, which we should be able to open this summer. We've also purchased some Techfood griddles for the shop; we hope they bring us good luck!
